We work collaboratively and tirelessly to support the diversity and unique styles of our learners here at Bargara State School.
We offer both extension and intervention support programs alongside the range of differentiation support all students receive in the classroom.
Our Learning Support team consists of both support for students with disability and students who may benefit from additional intervention or extension support.
Our specialist support staff include teachers for students with disability, Mrs Natalie Ferguson (Yrs 3-6) and Mrs Naomi Edser (Prep - Yr 2) and Support Teachers Literacy and Numeracy (STLaN), Mr Steve Chapman (Yrs 4 - 6) and Mrs Renae McKay (Prep - Yr 3).
Specialist staff work alongside classroom teachers and outside agencies to assist students with disability and/or learning support needs to access the curriculum and maximise student learning outcomes.
We also work closely with our Guidance Officer, Mrs Michelle Wilde and our Head of Special Education Services (based at Kalkie State School) to ensure students receive appropriate support where needed.
If you have any questions regarding student support please contact the school office.
