Here at Bargara our school motto is “Educating Today’s Youth for Tomorrow’s World” and it is in partnership with the dedication of terrific parents, such as you, that we will produce these outcomes for your children.
We recognise that high performance in the ‘Key Learning Areas’ (KLA) of English and Mathematics are vital for student success over the long term. We work hard in these areas as well as other KLA’s to ensure students reach their potential and we are continually looking for ways to improve what we do.
Achieving the recognition in 2016 of being in the top 3% of all Australian schools for substantially above average gain in the areas of Reading and Numeracy is a result that reflects our dedication and the positive learning environment of our school. However, we also recognise that a successful person is not just one that is able to read, write and complete mathematical equations.
An effective person is one who is able to function at a high level as both an individual and as part of a team. They are able to apply their knowledge and skills in different situations, they are able to resolve conflict as it arises as well as much, much more.
Bargara State School will support students to develop their skills and abilities through aspects such as “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”. We will support students to develop their skills and display leadership in their everyday life.
Bargara State School is a supportive learning environment, that expects a high standard of behavior and effort, fostering the values of Respect, Responsibility and Safety. We appreciate your enthusiasm to participate in your child’s education and look forward to working with you, as your child enjoys earning and prospers in our school.
Regards,
Chris Norris - Principal, Bargara State School
